Writing Roots
LYNETTE B. MICLETTE, born in the Philippines and raised in rural New England, is a life-long weaver of words. As a child, she spent countless summer days in the basement of Otis Public Library reading of adventures and dreaming up her own. She wrote her first book in the second grade, complete with illustrations! Her many adventures living and traveling abroad, paired with her ministry experiences and passion for God and people, have opened the doors to unique life experiences from which she draws her inspiration. On every page, Lynette shares her heart with her readers.

True Trivia About Me
I'm a proud momma of three SUPERB sons, all grown up!
I'm not the greatest golfer but I love the game.
I've been a nomad for much of my life, having visited 4 continents, 22 countries (lived in 7), 41 states (lived in 9), and have moved 44 times, each place with distinct addresses.
I was a licensed TS-class submersible co-pilot. That's right, I drove submarines.
First job: I had a paper route for six years.
I love golf.
First pet: A white guinea pig (rescued from my father's research lab). I named her Cindy, after my childhood best friend.

Favorite comfort food: hot dogs and rice (it's a Filipino thing).
I'm an avid LEGO builder with a nice collection to prove it.

I play the clarinet, oboe, alto & tenor saxophones. I can pluck a few of tunes on the guitar and play Chopsticks on the piano.
I craft to relax — mainly cross-stitching, miniatures, and painting, but I love crafts of all kinds!
I’m a SCUBA nut.
I played the lead role in a Tagalog play while in graduate school. The play was written, directed, and produced by students.
I love motorcylces, although my riding days are over…maybe!
My two favorite places on the planet: Polo Beach in Maui, Hawaii and the Dead Sea.
I love golf.
I'm an island and ocean girl at heart.
I'm a devoted student of all things business, economics & the financial markets.
When I'm not writing, trading & investing, or sewing you can find me on the golf course, on my road bike, or at the shooting range.
I keep two goldfish and one tetra (named after my boys, ha!), and two black & white cats — 007 (a.k.a. Mr. Bond) and Abby.
