LOVED ANYWAY: Grace Just as We Are

Embrace God's grace. Believe you are who he says you are. Live like you are LOVED ANYWAY. Because you are!

What does it mean to be truly loved? To be loved by God? To be loved by self? To be loved by others? Too often, we get caught up in the unfulfilled and extraordinary expectations that all love demands. These expectations are too much, too perfect for us to bear. But in our inner most being, each of us desperately longs to be loved. When we embark on the path to pursue God and gain his understanding and perspective, we are forever changed and our hearts are opened to God’s most amazing gift of all. His gift of grace. As we learn more about Him—indeed, as we truly get to know Him—his attributes, and what He says about us and who we are, we are encouraged and empowered in a new way. Understanding and embracing who we are in Christ drastically changes the landscape of our present world, and that of Heaven, for all eternity.

Grace and identity work hand in hand. Grace empowers us to believe what God says about us. The world’s unrealistic expectations to love and be loved fall away. Only then can we experience the joy and freedom that come when we know, without a shadow of a doubt, that our perfect God loves imperfect people just like you and me—that we are loved anyway, just as we are.

When we challenge ourselves to examine our own lives and embrace these truths, we become empowered to genuinely live out the two greatest commandments: LOVE GOD & LOVE PEOPLE.
